Hi, my name is Sam Heldt I am a young actor currently living in the Indianapolis area, and have experience working on stage, film, and voice over work. I have been cast in productions such as “Across the Pond”, ‘The Miseducation of Bindu” as well as many other stage productions, including “Everybody”.
Until I found acting, I always seemed to dip my toes into every activity I could think of, never feeling the combination of passion and success that I was seeking. It was my freshman year of High School when I discovered acting, almost by accident. In order to obtain the diploma I wanted, I needed to complete one fine arts credit. To this day I am grateful to the upperclassman friend, whom I cannot even remember, who told me to take theatre, “because it is an easy ‘A’” he said. That sounded good enough to me! Before I knew it I was enjoying every second working in that class, more than anything else I had tried before. And I was pretty good at it. Success, meet passion.
Nothing brings me more joy than when I have the opportunity to perform as a character for a project. Whether on stage, where I get to feel the audience's emotion and reaction to the story, or when it is recorded, and I can enjoy the work myself and share it with others. I believe it is through storytelling that we learn the most about each other, and ourselves. Whether through fictional works or true stories, there are always lessons we can learn to help us grow as a society. And I want to be a part of that.
